Hmm. I just signed up now and it did not give me a $5 credit.
Try signing up with this link (use a different email address) - they'll only give you the credit if you use a referral link (just found that out & so I updated the post a moment ago). It should work. Let me know if it does not! I hope we don't crash their system :).

The referral link worked - thanks! It says the deal is good for another 30 hours. I don't think it is one of those that will necessarily run out.
Thanks for alerting us to this deal. I just signed up for Living Social account and got the $5 credit. I also bought the AMazon gift card, but was not allowed to apply the $5 credit. It's still a great bargain, just not a $5 one.
I just tried and it said I could not use Deal Bucks on this daily deal. :(
There is a note stating you cannot use deal bucks for this offer.
It gave me the $5 credit but it says I can't use deal bucks on this deal....
It looks like they have changed their terms for the credit, which I don't think is right, bit this is still an incredible even without the credit!! As you can see from my image on the post, they were allowing you to use the credit - I bought 2 this way last night. So sorry for the frustration!
I think I must have gotten in before they stopped allowing you to use the $5 credit. We'll find out for sure when they charge the credit card, I guess.
