Celebrate Your Mate with 1-800-Flowers

Did you know that September is "Pleasure Your Mate Month"? According to Chase’s Calendar of Events, “Pleasure Your Mate Month” is an annual holiday during the month of September to promote love and appreciation between mates. It is the perfect time to think about the one you love most and what they mean to you. Remember to celebrate them on a regular basis to find new ways to bring happiness together.

To help me celebrate, 1-800-FLOWERS.COM sent me the "It's All About You" Bouquet!  I love fresh flowers, so I was very excited about the special delivery!  I loved that the flowers were made by a local floral shop & were hand delivered!  There is something about a personal delivery that makes you feel extra special!  The arrangement was fresh & very fragrant.  It didn't look much like the picture at all - it wasn't nearly as full or as ornate looking, which was a little disappointing.  The vase was a bit different, the flowers were a bit more sparse, and the bow was severely sad looking!  Despite all of these negatives, I still loved the bouquet, though!  Again, there is just something about a hand delivered bouquet that cannot be beat!

1-800-FLOWERS.COM also sent me Junior’s Heart Shaped Cheesecake.  I have three words for this wonder: Oh. My. Word.  Yep, that about sums it up.  This was the MOST amazing cheesecake that I have ever (ever, ever, ever) had ... EVER!  It was so tender & creamy, so moist and rich, so perfect!  The chocolate on the outside was a dark variety, which offset the cheesecake filling very well.  My favorite part, though, was that there is a layer of yellow cake at the bottom - it is very thin & barely noticeable, but that extra touch adds the perfect dimension to the cheesecake & helps it hold up better.  Trust me - you have got to try this cheesecake!!!  My mouth is literally watering as I write this!!
