Valentine's Day on a Dime: A Few Lines of Love

Last year for Valentine's Day, I sat down and wrote my husband a poem.  I printed it, cropped it, and framed it for him.  He was so touched that I took the time to write something specifically for him.  He took it to work and it remains there - as a daily reminder to him of just how much he means to us.

Even if you're not a good writer, you can still churn out a few "Roses are Red, Violets are Blue ..." lines.  Make it extra special by including a photograph or doodle.

Here is the poem that I wrote for Chris last year.  I ask that you not copy it as your own work, but you are welcome to use it for inspiration :).

Love Story

Hectic days & restless nights
Slaying dragons & sword fights
Always rescuing the Maiden
Bills, chores, & burden laden

Building castles in the snow
Not ashamed of love to show
Bubble baths & brushing curls
Bedtime stories for your girls

Making sure the world is safe
Making home a respite place
Husband, Father, Brother, Son
To me, You are the Only One.
