Have you tried the new Shout Color Catcher sheets yet?! Nobody wants dyes bleeding onto other items of clothing in the laundry. Shout Color Catcher sheets absorb and trap loose dyes in your wash water, safeguarding your clothes from color bleeds and helping to preserve original colors. Use Shout Color Catcher sheets in every load to keep clothes looking vibrant and bright!
Product Features:
• Sheets lock up loose dyes found in the wash water to prevent dyes from running or bleeding onto other clothes.
• The proof is on the sheet-each sheet changes color as it absorbs these loose dyes.
• Helps save you time by reducing the need for sorting.
• Helps save you money by reducing the need for half-size loads.
Shout was kind enough to send me a box of them to try out and I must admit - I LOVE THEM! I was a little worried with the first few washes, so I slowly mixed in more bold colors with each progressive load -- with all of my whites coming out as untouched as before! I was amazed. I even tested out a brand new, deep maroon skirt with a few older white t-shirts and there was NO color bleeding!! Shocked. And relieved.
I don't know if this is just a phenomenon that happens in my family, but somehow, even if I wash only whites - or only whites with other "non-color" items (like light grays and pastels), my whites will sometimes STILL come out with bright colored blotches on them ... usually pink. It drives me crazy!! I've searched (and cleaned) my washing machine and dryer, have taken to scanning thoroughly each piece of laundry before I put it in the wash, etc, but there is still (always without warning) a few loads that will produce these random stains!! I haven't had any of those issues since I've been using the Shout Color Catcher sheets, and I don't even worry about it anymore!
Now, because I'm such a

I once overloaded the laundry machine and it kept stopping at the "spin" cycle because it was off balance...it took me forever to figure out how to get it going again!

I washed a wool sweater and it came out looking like a toddler sweater...so I gave it to my cousin who is 2. At least someone got some use out of it!
let's just say that B's wonderful light blue duvet cover turned an outrageously horrible shade of pink. I somehow forgot that all my new red fabric was under the duvet cover so when i scooped it up to put it in the wash... it all went in. gck-1 loved it though ;)
i get your emails :) love them!

One of my worst laundry disasters happened when I was expecting my first child. I washed a brand new maternity dress in the wrong setting with the wrong temp. of water on accident...and it shrunk so bad my barely-a-teen sister was able to fit into it! creedamy at yahoo dot com
There were blue spots appearing in my laundry for months, and then MOVING to different spots on my clothes are washing again. I think it may have been a pen that was washed way before that, but it was bizarre! Ruined a lot of things!

My daughter has to wear school uniforms and everytime I do laundry, I keep waiting to pull out mulit-colored items. So far I have been lucky but my luck doesn't last long. btjfarnham at yahoo dot com
Two days ago I washed my comforter (which I've done many times). It made the machine go off balance, it couldnt spin and I smelled something burning. I had to hand wring out the comforter before putting it in the dryer which took about half an hour.
Thanks for the review and giveaway!

I once accidentl threw a blue pair of undies (my daughters) in with the white wash. Everything came out with a light blue tinge.

I have a few disasters. I washed my favorite "formal" dress to try and save money and it shrunk:( I washed it on delicates...oh well...it's an excuse to buy a new one:)
I also had my washer break down w/ tons of laundry backed up. the wash in the washer was sopping wet when it broke and I had to transport it all to the bathtub to wait til the washer got fixed. annejk112233(at)yahoo(dot)com

My worse laundry disaster happened when hubby was reaching for something on the laundry rack above the washer and bumped the bleach--well it went everywhere and tye-dye was in season for my towels. That was 15 years ago and I was mad but it was funny now looking back :)

Laundry disasters, where do i start...today, for instance, I threw my daughters beautiful dress into the already going dryer just to "dewrinkle" it, and when I pulled it out a few minutes later, I realized I shut the dryer door on one of the string that ties around the back of the dress..So much for that attempt to quickly make the dress look nice, then I had to spend 20 minutes cutting off the ties and sewing up the whole where I had to cut them out!

One time I was washing clothes in the washing machine. My three year old opened the lid and threw a blue crayon in. Lets say we had a lot of spotted blue clothes and an unhappy mama. It took a lot of Zout and scrubbing to get all the blue out.
