Earth Day *GIVEAWAY*: Playtex Twist 'n Click Straw Cup

THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED.
Congrats to #50: Heather

As promised, this Earth Day, we're celebrating the next generation!!  The First Lil’ Gripper™ Straw Trainer Cup is the first squeezable straw trainer cup on the market, and was designed to help moms teach their babies how to suck and drink from a straw. Since it’s a skill that many infants already possess, the natural motion of drinking from a straw serves as an easy transition for an infant after coming off of a bottle.  This cup is guaranteed to be spill-proof, leak-proof, & break-proof!  Plus, it is dishwasher safe, BPA & Phthalate Free, and has interchangeable lids!

Playtex Baby The First Lil' Gripper Twist 'n Click Straw Cup 7 OZ - girl colors

Playtex sent us one of the new cups to test out, and while I immediately thought "Sweet, another cup for Gigi!"; I was in for a big surprise!  This is Gigi's new FAVORITE cup!!  The straw is small, so she doesn't choke when she drinks from it (like she usually does quite a bit with other straw cups)!  Plus, it has a closing mechanism over the straw, so it won't spill when we're on the run - BUT Gigi can't open it!!  I know that the idea of having a closing feature that your child can work sounds like a great idea in theory, but once you have one, you find that your child has more fun opening and closing the straw than actually drinking from it - and it usually ends up flinging contents everywhere each time he/she opens it!

We're also those crazy parents who allow our kids to have cups with them at all times, which means that it MUST be spill proof (like nuclear-tested kind of spill-proof) and I really believe that this one is!  There is no "trick" to making sure it is closed enough, but not to much (you know those cups I'm talking about), and there are no holes or grooves to match up (so annoying).  It is just a straight forward, close-it-and-go spill-proof cup!  Once you hear it click, you know you're good!  Trust me, we have tested this feature to the max over the past few weeks!!  NO LEAKS to date!!

Finally, this might not sound like a big deal, but I love that I can easily (and inexpensively) buy replacement parts for the cups!  So when Gigi goes crazy and chews the straw top off, I can buy another one for less than a brand new cup!  Same goes for if the lid gets lost (or more likely stolen by tiny hands and hid it someplace never-to-be-found)!

I can tell you with absolute confidence that we'll be buying a lot more of these cups!

Breast milk....she won't drink a thing other than breast milk! I'd love to have a cup that might encourage her to drink a bit of water as well. She has loads of cups that she likes to play with but even her newest straw sippy from The Disney store is of no use. She just lets the water run right out of her mouth as soon as it hits it! Ugh...

If she could choose anything, it would probably be soda (which she's only had sips of 3 or 4 times). But she regularly enjoys drinking apple and orange juice.
