Wahoo!!! The Mother Company has finally released a brand new show called “Ruby’s Studio: The Friendship Show“. Our family has loved “The Feelings Show” for quite awhile now (read our review here), so we were all thrilled to learn that Ruby was releasing a new DVD.
“Ruby’s Studio: The Friendship Show” is the continuation of our mission to “Help Parents Raise Good People.” This time, Ruby’s focus is friendship – helping young kids to make and nurture lasting friendships, with fun animated sequences, art projects and original music all geared toward helping kids to resolve conflict, show compassion, and encourage kindness toward their peers.
We were recently supplied with a digital download of the new “The Friendship Show” and are absolutely in love with it already!! Similarly to “The Feelings Show”, Ruby has found a way to teach our children important life lessons in a way that is entertaining, sweet, and (most importantly) not cliche or annoying!
The skits are cute, the songs have wide appeal, and the overall lessons are easy for kids to take away! Centering friendship around “The Golden Rule” (do to others as you would like done to you), this new show will have your children thinking about friendship in a whole new way – and hopefully treating their friends in a whole new way too!
We stress putting others before yourself in our house, though it is not an easy lesson to teach and our kids struggle severely with it. Thankfully, I can get behind “The Friendship Show” and use it to help reinforce the lessons we’re already teaching our kids – about putting others first, using your words to stand up for what is right, and loving others no matter what!
This holiday season, consider getting your kids (or grandkids or nieces nephews or neighbors …) a gift that will do more than just entertain them – it will teach and inspire them!
