Bertolli Classic Risotto & New Soup Flavors Review + *GIVEAWAY* (2 winners)

by Alecia on September 24, 2012

If you’re a busy mom like me, chances are that you’ve already tried the amazing Bertolli Meals for 2 that can be found in your freezer aisle! They have a variety of meals and flavors that are sure to wow any family. We’ve tried several of them and have a few favorites that we keep in the fridge to help us make a quick and delicious meal on busy nights (and keeps us from the fast-food-temptation).  I’m so excited to tell you about a few *NEW* products they’ve added to their delicious line of easy to make meals – including Bertolli Classic Risottos and new soup flavors!

Bertolli continues to bring authentic Italian dining to your home with fresh-tasting, premium ingredients. Available in two rich flavors, Roasted Chicken & Mushroom and Garlic Shrimp, their new risottos are made with Italian rice, parmesan cheese, crisp vegetables and high-quality proteins. And the best part? No fancy kitchen tools are needed to prepare this delicious dish because Bertolli takes the guesswork and labor out of preparing risotto from scratch! No more waiting at the stove, constantly stirring, and timing it just right. As any Italian cook knows, risotto is perfect the second it’s done and our new Bertolli Classic Risottos are stored at the peak of this perfection.

We recently tried these new meals and they are AMAZING!!! I did not have high hopes – I mean, risotto from a frozen meal?! But I was absolutely blown away by them! Our favorite was the Roasted Chicken & Mushroom. It was creamy and robust, so easy to make (dump into a pan, stir occasionally – DONE), and satisfied our gourmet appetite!  My only complaint is that the serving sizes are slightly on the small side.  If you make one of these meals, it will definitely only feed 2 people per package, and you’ll probably want to make a side dish to accompany it (like a salad, vegetable, or bread).

To add to this exciting news, in addition to the new risottos, Bertolli also added two new Bertolli Meal Soup flavors – Italian-Style Wedding and Ricotta & Lobster Ravioli in a Seafood Bisque. Adding to the four flavors released last year, these new soups are hearty and fresh-tasting with high-quality proteins, crisp vegetables and al dente pasta.

As an Italian myself who grew up with homemade Italian Wedding Soup that is impossible to beat anywhere, I can attest that even my grandma would have been amazed by the new Bertolli Itailian-Style Wedding Soup! It balances everything perfectly and tastes (better than, dare I say) homemade!

As your taste buds start craving those rich and warm flavors of Fall, I encourage you to pick up these new meals by Bertolli and have an amazing meal done in just a few minutes! Go ahead, shove the package at the bottom of the garbage – I won’t tell your family you didn’t home-make these meals!

Use the easy form below to enter to win a coupon valid for a FREE Bertolli Meal for Two (2 winners).
