Chris and I absolutely consider ourselves “foodies” but we really try to put a healthy spin on the meals we make at home. When you live a healthy lifestyle, it makes it easier to enjoy those occasional splurges of dishes submerged in butter or coated in sugar glazes! Our family has memberships to our local Y.
Workout at least 4-5 times every week.
Getting more active with my family and trying to eat better as well to set a good example for my children!

We are striving for a whole foods diet.
Try to walk everyday, and avoid sitting for long durations.
One main way I try – I work out regularly. AT LEAST a couple times a week, if not more. I’ve been doing that for a while now and it’s fantastic

I fill at least half my plate with seasonal non-starchy fruits and vegetables.
We try to make sure we always have one starch on our plates along with at least one veggie
we try to do family activities that involve excercise, such as hiking and biking.
We try to eat at home instead of a lot of fast food.
I try to exercise, drink lots of water (instead of the diet Coke and coffee that I love) and I eat and cook healthy…for myself and my family.

I try to make sure my family always has a fruit and/or veggie with every meal. We don’t always eat super healthy, and have been known to have a pizza once in awhile
but no matter what we eat, there are fruits and/or veggies included!

my most favorite improvement lately has been switching to Greek yogurt over regular yogurt. It is SO good for you! And the massive amounts of protein in greek yogurt keep you feeling full for a long time. check out chobani – love it!
I try to exercise daily by rnning/walking at least 2 miles.
My walking partner and I have gone for a brisk hour-long walk three or four times a week for the last 7 or 8 years.
