Groupon is offering some spooky deals on various hotels throughout the United States that are said to be (BOO! Scared ya!) haunted. Because there are a few deals, I'll be posting a list, but wanted to make sure you don't miss a few highlights ...
You'll definitely know the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado, which was Stephen King's inspiration for The Shining. Locals say it's a hub of paranormal activity. There are a lot of staff reports out there about hearing distinct sounds of children playing when there aren't any around, about liquor bottles inexplicably flying off the shelves, and of piano keys moving without assistance from anything or anyone else.
There's also a deal for Captain Grant's Inn in Preston, Connecticut. Built in 1754, there are guest reports of loud knocking, multiple sightings of mysterious ghostly apparitions of a woman and her two children, and, spookily enough, faint, disembodied child-like voices.
Slap on a free sample of Depends and get a little thrill for less with these deals ...
