Do you know my first name?
by Alecia on June 7, 2010
Seriously – do you know my first name?!
I was thinking today about how I feel like I know some of you so well, even though I’ve never met you, and for a lot of you, I’ve never even “talked” to you – yet, I still feel like I know these people on the other end of the internet! Well, that got me thinking about how well each of you know me. And from there, I realized that I talk about my husband and my kids a lot, but I probably don’t talk about myself (at least not personal stuff) very much (though maybe I’m wrong and you’d like to hear a little less about me)!
So, I have two questions for you, leave me a comment and let me know the answers (your honesty is welcome, and there is no “correct” answer!).
From all of you who leave a comment, I’ll draw one person, tomorrow, who will receive a coupon for a FREE Star Product (up to $4 value). Make sure, if you’re interested in winning the coupon, that you leave me an
email address so I can contact you for your shipping address! Even if you don’t want the coupon, PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT ANYWAY- I want to hear from you

.
Questions:
1) Do you know my first name?
2) Are you interested in getting to know me better? If so, what is one thing about me (or my family) that you’d love to know!
Your answers will help me determine the type of content that I’ll be posting in the future. I’m debating about posting a series aimed at letting you get to know me better … and helping me get to know you all better as well!! I don’t want to yammer about myself if you’re not interested … honestly!

No, I do not know your first name and that is too bad because you have saved me money! I would love to know if you ever disagree on a way to save money with your spouse.

#1 Alecia,
#2 I would love to know how your family views coupons. Do your kids participate in cutting them? How do they help out, does your husband help out too? My husband cuts the coupons with my on Sunday night, and helps me with a spreadsheet thingy that I am still clueless about. Thanks!
I know your 1st name due to the giveaway I won and you emailed me.
I'm always wanting to learn more about people. Especially those I follow online.

1) I have no idea what your name is – but will guess – Rachel
2) I don't have anything specific I would like to know (just lots of random things), but I have only seen pictures of you and your daughter (not sure if your other child is a boy or girl). Have you had pix of your hubby and both children on the blog? Do you have any pets? What area of the country do you live? How long have you been married? Where did you meet? What's your favorite meal, food, place to visit, holiday….. I can go on for days! Can you tell asking questions is part of my job?
Not sure what a coupon for a free star product is – but I'm game for anything – Thanks for letting us into your world.
aprilfordyce@gmail.com (guess you know my name)
Just thought of a few more questions – when did you begin blogging – couponing – etc? What inspired you to do so? Would you ever consider sharing your personal testimony on the blog? – Again – I could go on……you shouldn't have let me get started.
I love this post Alecia! Great job!
Yup, I know your first name. And I love finding out more about the people I "know" online. But my comments on this post don't really count, since I do know you in real life.
1. Yes I know your first name! I am glad to know you even though I have never met you!
2. Hmmm…yes, How do you find time to blog with 2 kids and what makes the time you spend blogging and couponing worth it for you and your family.
I know you're first name and I love chatting with you
And even though I get to chat with you frequently, I think it would be great for you to share some on here
I stalk you so of course I know your name dear friend!
And if you have, you better have pictures so I can see 'cause I just can't picture you with anything but your beautiful blonde hair!
I would love to know if you've ever dyed your hair anything dark. Dark brown… black… um dark red?!
Hi Alecia!
Thank you so much for your blog. I've really enjoyed the tips, especially the coupons and diaper reward codes. I have three boys, ages 6 and under and they were most excited about the recent frappuccino deals at Starbucks and Barnes and Noble. They keep asking me when I will receive another coupon so they can have a vanilla bean frappuccino!
My question is, have you ever read the Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan? This book and the Eat This, Not That Series have changed our family's shopping routines.
We now substitute two bean meals a week so we can afford more expensive meat from a free range farm. On one hand, it's really crushed our grocery budget but we are doing our best to save in other areas and to find recipes that are cheap yet don't include a lot of processed ingredients. If only natural foods were as cheap as boxed ones! Sometimes I really struggle between what might be best for our bodies verses what is most cost effective. All the coupons you post have helped keep my grocery bills down.
If you have any simple recipes that include dried beans or seasonal produce, I'd love to have them!
Thanks again for all of your bargain hunting. Keep up the good work!
I now know your name is Alecia! Like "donnakorzun@yahoo.com" you too have saved me money! We appreciate all you do to help us. You do all the tedious work & we reap the benefits! So thank you!
I love the term "couponaholic"….it really describes what I have become. It can be very addicting & being OCD, like I am, it's even more so, but it's a good thing, b/c I save money for my family! Also, my husband & I are being better "stewards" of our money, like God's word teaches us to be.
Thanks again for all you do!
