Fandango Mobile App Review + Movie Tickets *GIVEAWAY*

Have you had a chance to see Cars 2 in the theater yet?  We took our whole family to see it this past weekend and had a blast!  My mom was in town, so we decided to make it a big family date and took both the girls, both of us (Chris & I) and my mom!  It was fun to have the opportunity to do something like this while "Grammy" was in town, and Bella loved getting to share experience with one of her favorite people in the whole world - though it was tough keeping those two from chatting through the movie :).

As part of a social insights study for Collective Bias, we purchased our tickets through the free Fandango app for my iPhone.  The whole process was a breeze and I loved that I didn't have to print out a confirmation or scan anything at the box office.  I just handed over my debit card and she printed our tickets.  Took only a few moments and we were on our way!  The Fandango app offers a lot of great features like showtime, movie information, a search feature, and (of course) the ability to purchase your tickets.  There were 2 small downsides that I saw -

1. They didn't list the movie ticket prices out by age (which might just be because we were seeing an "Early Bird" movie), but it made it tough for me to feel confident that Gigi, who is under the age of 2 yrs, would be free and would not need a ticket.
2. The service charge - of course!  It is $1.25 per ticket ... which added up to a total of $5 for our family's tickets!!!  That's an outrageous amount to pay for this service, in my opinion.  It is a convenience that is completely unnecessary to me, so I am almost never willing to pay the additional money to use Fandango.  However, we do use them when we have free promotional codes or they are running a special promotion.

The whole family loved Cars 2, though I don't think we'll be taking Gigi back to the theater for a few months.
