Free iTunes Application: Cube Dog Review

Cube Dog is a fun new application that gives you the ability to create your own unique cube dog by selecting various parts and colors. It has full 3D graphics with the ability to rotate and zoom, plus high-quality 3D animations. The application is compatible with the iPhone and iPod touch 4 devices with a camera. We downloaded this adorable and super fun app on my iPhone earlier this week. The girls and I have had a blast playing with it! The application is free, which you know I love, and you can always upgrade to a paid version if you run out fun stuff to do (which we did not). Bella thought it was so fun to pick out the dog’s parts – body shape, head size, eyes, ears, etc. Her most difficult choice was picking his color – which was pink, of course, but she wanted the perfect shade, which took a bit of trial and error on her part. She had a great time tweaking him over and over and about the only thing that stayed the same from session to session was his name “Pinky” – and that he was always a (different) shade of pink! It was so fun to watch her imagination take over as she created this digital pet!

My favorite part was making the dog do tricks! So cute!! We loved making him play ball, sit, and even fight ninja style, but my favorite was having him call us! I could not stop laughing the first time we did it! It even popped up a “Decline” or “Accept” screen that I was not expecting. Hysterical!

Though my kids aren’t on my iPhone often, it is nice to have a fun and harmless app that they can play with during a cranky trip in the car or when the checkout line is just a bit too long! Cube Dog is definitely a new favorite of ours!
