My dad would sing to me. Delta Dawn is our song. I can close my eyes and hear him singing. I always makes me smile.

(My first comment almost never works, so here I go again... Sorry if I duplicate!)
My dad coached my softball team for about 10 years while I was growing up and always found time to play catch with me! He also played basketball with me in the driveway and fixed all of the garage door windows that I broke out!

I don't really have any memories of my dad so I will leave one about my mom! I remember my mom always rubbing my head while I would fall asleep when I was little! My husband has to do it for me now!

My dad bought an ice cream truck business one summer and so my childhood memories are filled with the countless hours with my dad nad sisters on that truck. The music was very annoying, but those memories will never be erased. jessicabardin2003@hotmail.com

There was a period when I was a little girl when I had to go to bed pretty quickly after dinner (which was right after he'd get home from work). So after I'd have my story with Mom and get tucked in, Dad and I would have "Talkative Time," where he'd come in and I'd get to talk to him about my day before going to sleep. It was just great to have my own special spot carved out of his day.

Every winter when we we decorating for Christmas, I would lay under the tree with my dad while he tightened the trunk into the stand. I think we have a picture of every year with both our feet sticking out from under the tree.

I so appreciate these blessed giveaways. I am trying to scrapbook 10 years of photos w/ my 4 children. It's a finanical squeeze to do it but I see it as a way to tie our heartstrings together and build memories. This would be a blessing to accomplishing that!

My dad would always write us notes. Not just a typical note but in "code" like "olive ewe" = "I love you." Some of them were a challenge to figure out but the message was always worth the effort!

A favorite memory of my dad from my childhood was his always coming along on class trips with me. Even when my summer camp would have trips to local amusement parks, he always came. It was nice being able to share fun times like that with him.

My favorite memory with my dad is when we use to go camping during the summer. We would go out on Norris lake and find a litte island and camp out on the island. We would fish all night.
