Big Mommas: Like Father Like Son
comes out on Blu-Ray and DVD tomorrow, June 14th, and with it we're reminded of our dad's everywhere! If you're anxious about what to get your dad for Father's Day (which is quickly approaching), fret no longer, as Fox Home Entertainment has some of the best ideas for gifts all right here in one comprehensive list!
Car Wash Kit
- Give this along with some homemade coupons for a free car wash in the driveway.
BBQ Tools
- These can be used during fun summer gatherings with friends and family.
Sports equipment - Whether your dad could spend all day out on the green, or loves the batting cages, some new athletic gear could be just the thing for active fathers.
Sports apparel - Every dad loves to root for "his" team, and with some new team specific garments, he can really get into the spirit of the game! Tickets to a game in your area would go great with this gift as well - be sure to read our tips on
How to Save Money at the Ballpark.
New wallet
- Since most dads carry theirs in their back pocket, wallets endure a lot of wear and tear. Provide your dad with a new one so he can keep all of his belongings safe.
Home Entertainment - Gather some of the best new DVDs together, such as
American Dad
,
Street Kings 2
, and of course,
Big Momma's House
; Like Father Like Son

, and combine them all together along with some popcorn to create a fun package for a family movie night on your couch.

I was so excited to see my dad's expression when he saw the "gift" I gave him on the evening of April 14th, one year long ago. He had spent hours sorting checks into piles on the dining room table while doing our taxes. When he took a break in the kitchen for some dessert, I went into the dining room and finished his sorting. It took no time at all, even though I had to correct A LOT of his "mistakes." I called him in to see how well I'd sorted the mountain checks together, the babbling brook checks into another pile, and the desert sunset checks into another pile. His patience, after the bright purple color faded from his face, was enough to earn him a brighter halo. Not such a bad gift. dclesperance@hotmail.com

One year I bought him 12 cases of his favorite thing in the world & wrapped each one up. They were 24 packs of his cherished Diet Coke. He talked about that every year after that before he passed away last year. barb g. diabeticsnacker(at)gmail.com

The best Father's Day gift to my Dad was a framed scrapbook page with photos from a special horse riding day with all his grandchildren. This is still hung prominantly in the house.
