Best Mother's Day gift - dandy lions pulled from my yard with two big smiles behind them from my daughter 4 and son 2 and they said, "picked you flowers mama, love you". What some would consider "weeds" were more beautiful than a dozen roses when delivered like that!

Last year was my first mother's day so it was really sweet and wonderful when I received my first card from my husband AND my first card from my baby girl. My husband gave me a card from Samantha's point of view and what she would tell me then if she could. Needless, to say, it made me cry and was my favorite mother's day gift.

I gave my mom a blue, Rubbermaid laundry basket. It wasn't the gift itself, but the fact that I chose it at our local, small town hardware store (where choices for mothers were limited!) all by myself. She still uses it today, to be honest, all these years later!
